Diwrnod o Haf, Aberffraw - The second of the 'Sea' series took me to Aberffraw, a place that inspires many artists and a place I've driven through countless times without looking properly, so it seems. As with the Aberdaron lino, the challenge was keeping things simple and removing (with my eye, not literally) all the clutter ... and making sure the row of cottages on the rivers edge receded credibly. The sweeping bend in the river was particularly tricky to get right with repeated re-drawing before cutting to make sure the water didn;t look like it was flowing uphill!
