Old red rocks at the water's edge, Freshwater East - In contrast to the earlier lino of Presipe, this image draws the eye from the bottom edge to the distant horizon, following the line where water meets rock, where hard meets soft, where the moving sea impacts on the static red and grey cliffs. I've purposely created a textured surface to the foreground rocks with a more 'painterly' use of the roller, allowing underlying colours to show through.
