Ynys Seiriol a goleudy Trwyn Du (Puffin Island and Trwyn Du lighthouse) - This single colour linocut is the fourth in an ongoing series based on sections of the Anglesey coastline - following on from the 2013 Ar lan y mor II (Black and red versions) and 2014 Ar lan y mor III.

Moving to the opposite side of the island - right to the tip of Penmon, the focal point of this print is the black and white striped lighthouse that sits between the mainland and Puffin Island. I walked along the shoreline looking for the right foreground, an interesting composition and a background which allowed the lighthouse to stand out rather than disappear against the island. At the same time, I couldn't resist the urge to draw the complex rock formations and shingle beach but I contrasted the 'busy' foreground with a mainly dark sea and white horizon, so that the eye had somehwere within the image to rest.
